The head & neck cancer symptoms are divided into two types:
1. Premalignant Symptoms
2. Malignant symptoms
A prolonged white or red patch in the mouth can result in leucoplakia, erythroplakia, or oral submucous fibrosis that can result in cancer. Laser surgery is done with the help of which the red or the white patch is removed. After this treatment, the patient is risk-free from the possibility of oral cancer.
Other signs of oral cancer can be mouth ulcer for more than 3 weeks, difficulty in swallowing, pain in the ear, or hoarseness in the voice which can be an early stage of possible laryngeal cancer. Lump in the neck, lumps in lymph nodes is also a symptom of head and neck cancer.
